The South African government intends to build a power plant in its coast, very close to Jeffreys’ Bay. They intend to use the cold water from the ocean to refrigerate the reactors, returning the heated (and possibly polluted) water to the system.
That will damage the whole environment and can destroy one of the best waves of the planet. Surfers from the whole world come to J-Bay in search of its famous waves.
